Working closely with colleagues, families, and external partners, you'll ensure that every young person receives the personalised support they need. You'll take into account each learner's individual needs, risk assessments, and care plans when allocating staff, ensuring continuity, safety, and quality of care. You'll be supported with training on our in-house timetabling system to help you manage these responsibilities efficiently.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing and updating staff rotas and timetables, responding to operational changes in real time.
Overseeing on-call operations, being the first point of contact from 7am on weekdays, and resolving staffing or logistical issues promptly.
Liaising with Registered managers regarding operational or timetable-related matters, ensuring excellent communication and reassurance.
Working alongside Registered Managers to maintain a homely, person-centred environment within budget.
Completing compliance checks for agency staff to ensure safety and consistency in support.
Ensuring staff are deployed in line with person-centred plans and that all practice reflects our values of respect, dignity, equality, and inclusion.
You'll promote our organisation's core values and "Great Interactions" principles at every opportunity, ensuring that each young person is supported with compassion, understanding, and professionalism. You'll play a key role in upholding safeguarding and regulatory standards, identifying and escalating any concerns to ensure the wellbeing and safety of those we support.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role that combines operational management with meaningful impact. If you have strong organisational skills, the ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities, and a genuine commitment to improving young people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
About you
You will be confident working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly, ensuring that staffing, logistics, and communication are handled efficiently and with care.
Essential qualities and experience:

Desirable attributes:
Experience in a similar resource, logistics, or operational management role within the education or charity sector.
Understanding of safeguarding principles, SEND legislation, and the regulatory requirements of OFSTED and CQC.
