As we continue to grow, were looking for a highly organised and commercially minded

Resource Manager to help us optimise our most valuable asset - our people.


Role Purpose




The Resource Manager will be responsible for managing the allocation, capacity, and utilisation of internal and associate resources across the business. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that project and service delivery teams are properly staffed with the right skills at the right time, while supporting business growth, performance optimisation, and employee development.


Key Responsibilities




Resource Planning & Allocation




Assign the right resources to the right projects and services, balancing customer needs, skills, and availability. Manage the daily and future-state resource plan across SaaS operations, project delivery, and consultancy. Coordinate with delivery managers, project managers, and team leads to understand and fulfil resourcing needs.



Forecasting & Capacity Management




Maintain visibility of current and upcoming resource capacity. Support the planning of recruitment or associate onboarding in line with future demand. Identify and resolve resource conflicts, shortages, or surpluses.

Utilisation & Performance Monitoring




Track and report on billable and non-billable utilisation. Provide regular reporting to leadership on resourcing trends and performance. Monitor bench time and support reallocation or upskilling where appropriate.

Skills & Competency Management




Maintain an up-to-date skills matrix across the delivery teams. Collaborate with HR and line managers on development plans to address skill gaps. Support initiatives to improve knowledge sharing and capability alignment.

Stakeholder Collaboration




Act as the bridge between sales, delivery, operations, and HR for all resourcing matters. Support bid and proposal teams with resource availability, CVs, and allocation plans. Participate in delivery readiness and mobilisation planning for new contracts.

Essential Skills & Experience




Proven experience in a resource management, workforce planning, or operations coordination role within an IT services or consulting business. Strong understanding of professional services delivery, especially within SaaS, implementation, or managed services environments. Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a keen eye for balancing commercial and operational factors. Experience using PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools, resource management software, or similar systems. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and build relationships across technical and non-technical teams.

Successful candidates must also have the right to work in the UK and must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years. Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security required is security check. Successful candidates must also complete basic personnel security standard checks.


Desirable




Familiarity with IBM Maximo, TRIRIGA, or similar enterprise platforms. Experience managing security-cleared or public sector resources. Experience working in matrixed or multi-vendor environments.
