Plays a key role in the successful execution of the operational planning strategy by leading Gatwick-specific resource planning, forecasting, and tactical deployment activities. Reporting to the Operations Planning Lead, this role is responsible for ensuring local planning aligns with central forecasting models, SLA targets, and workforce requirements.


About the Role:





As a

Resource Optimisation Manager,

you will be responsible for:




Lead demand planning for Gatwick based on centralised forecasting frameworks. Maintain dynamic planning models that adjust for daily, weekly, and seasonal operational demand. Collaborate with Gatwick operational leadership to refine forecasts and improve accuracy. Ensure Gatwick workforce rosters and resource deployment are optimised against forecasted demand and performance targets. Support the rollout of new planning systems and processes introduced by the Operations Planning Lead or Head of Operations Performance and Change. Participate in regular planning coordination forums, sharing Gatwick insights and data with central planning colleagues. Produce Gatwick-specific planning reports to contribute to divisional planning dashboards and insight reviews.

What we are looking for:




Essential




Experience in operational or resource planning for large-scale, service-driven environments. Proficiency with planning tools, data analysis, and workforce scheduling software. Effective communicator with stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to deliver under pressure in complex operational environments. Ability to interrogate data in order to make informed decisions.

Desirable




Experience in aviation, transport, or logistics operations. Familiarity with performance monitoring systems. Project or change management experience.
