The starting salary is 34,808, which includes allowances totalling 2,928.
The salary is broken down as 31,880 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale 34,108. Plus, a location allowance of 1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of 1,000. On top of this you will also receive a 12.5% shift disturbance allowance

The role of MO6 Public Order and Resources Command is to lead the MPS in putting the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time. We assist BCUs with duty planning and resource central aid on their behalf via the area resourcing hubs. We meet the requirements of the Event Command Teams whilst making sure each BCU has the staff it needs to operate effectively.
The Role
As a Resourcing Administrator you will be responsible for allocating and maintaining officer duties within the duty management system, ensuring the right skills and resources are available to support both local Basic Command Units and central aid requirements, such as sporting events and large public order events. You will provide accurate and timely information to officers, supervisors, and partner teams, supporting operational effectiveness and resilience.

This position is a is a full time 2-year fixed term contract.
Hours per week 36. Shifts are on an 8-hour shift pattern covering hours from 0700 - 2100 Mon -Fri There is also a need for weekend cover which is currently 2 x 10 hour shifts 0800-1800 Sat/ Sun once every 6 weeks on average.
This role is eligible for a 12.5% Shift Disturbance Allowance.

Duties and Responsibilities
Allocate officers with the required skills to meet central aid requests, maintaining resilience across Basic Command Units, so operational coverage is not compromised.
Input and update officer duties, activities, and abstractions in the CARM (our computer aided resource management system), ensuring records remain accurate and current.
Respond to officers' enquiries about their duties, resolving issues or escalating to supervisors where necessary, so queries are managed efficiently.
Communicate changes to duty times or locations promptly, ensuring officers are correctly informed and resourced.
Liaise with local Senior Leadership Teams and Operational Support and Events Teams to balance abstractions and ensure deployments represent best value to the organisation.
Coordinate with Operational Planning and the Real Time Resources Desk to respond to spontaneous public order or emergency demands, ensuring resources are deployed effectively.
Support administration of aid distribution, Public Order Carrier and minibus fleet scheduling, and specialist officer attachments (e.g., Police Search Advisors), so resources are available for operational use.
Apply judgement to determine which resourcing issues require escalation, ensuring matters outside own authority are referred appropriately.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive personal information, complying with data protection policies.
Contribute to team-based service delivery through shared workload and consistent standards of written and verbal communication.
