We have an exciting opportunity for a Resourcing Apprentice (Grade 5) to join our (internal) Resourcing Team on a 24 month fixed-term contract (FTC).



Team Overview:





The Resourcing team, within HR, delivers Elexon's talent attraction strategy. It manages permanent, fixed-term, and contingent recruitment, ensuring all hiring activity reflects our values, promotes inclusion, and delivers an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.


Reporting to the Head of Resourcing, the Resourcing Apprentice will work alongside the Resourcing Business Partners in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The role supports day-to-day recruitment operations and contributes to projects that enhance the efficiency, responsiveness, and quality of Elexon's resourcing processes.

Job Purpose:



The Resourcing Apprentice is an entry-level position designed to provide exposure across all aspects of recruitment and resourcing administration. The postholder will assist the Resourcing Business Partners with end-to-end candidate management, advertising, onboarding, data accuracy, and coordination of interviews, as well as maintaining recruitment systems and documentation.


This role combines on-the-job experience with formal learning through an accredited Level 3 Apprenticeship in Recruitment.




Key Responsibilities:



Provide administrative and coordination support to the Resourcing team across all hiring activities. Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (Teamtailor), ensuring candidate data, job adverts, and status updates remain current and accurate. Coordinate interview logistics, including scheduling, meeting room bookings, and candidate communication. Prepare and issue offer documentation, ensuring all pre-employment and right-to-work checks are completed. Support the onboarding process in collaboration with HR Operations. Assist in producing recruitment reports, analytics, and dashboards. Post and refresh job adverts across job boards and social media channels. Manage candidate correspondence, ensuring timely and professional communication. Support EDI objectives within resourcing, ensuring inclusive and equitable hiring practices. Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment workflows and process documentation.

Developmental / Desirable:



Understanding of recruitment lifecycle and HR processes Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems Data analysis and reporting skills Interest in employer branding and candidate experience Interest in AI and workflow automation
