We are seeking an organised, proactive and service-focused
Resourcing & Talent Acquisition Support Officer
to provide essential administrative coordination across the council's resourcing and talent acquisition service. This role supports the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, ensuring managers, candidates and internal HR colleagues receive a high-quality, timely and professional service.
The successful candidate will support permanent and agency recruitment processes, help manage recruitment campaigns, provide data and reporting, and play a key part in delivering an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
This position is ideal for an individual with strong administrative and organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced HR environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition Support
Provide administrative coordination for the full recruitment lifecycle across permanent and agency roles.
Work closely with Resourcing and Talent Acquisition Advisers to understand vacancy needs and preferred attraction/selection methods.
Support the organisation of assessments, interviews and selection processes, ensuring documentation is prepared and securely stored (digitally or physically).
Liaise with advertising partners to amend or update job adverts as instructed by Advisers/Manager.
Assist with social media recruitment content when required.
Maintain candidate engagement throughout campaigns, ensuring timely communication and updates.
Administration & Process Management
Track recruitment timetables and notify hiring managers and candidates of any changes.
Maintain and update the recruitment tracking system; run reports and support system upgrades.
Upload and update content on the council intranet related to recruitment and selection procedures.
Record, monitor and report redeployment activity, flagging cases requiring Adviser intervention.
Diary management for interview panels and preparation of required documents.
Respond to routine resourcing-related enquiries, escalating complex issues to Advisers.
Event & Programme Support
Provide administrative support for recruitment training events, job fairs, induction sessions and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
Assist with engagement activities and projects to improve resourcing services.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Gather, collate and analyse data to help improve service delivery.
Produce regular recruitment metrics and reports as required.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and support continuous service improvement.
Ensure high standards of customer service and administrative accuracy are maintained at all times.
Collaboration & Communication
Build strong working relationships with HR colleagues, hiring managers and recruitment partners.
Promote and champion equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all recruitment processes.
Maintain communication with internal stakeholders, advertising partners, recruitment suppliers, occupational health, DBS services, and other external contacts.
Experience providing administrative support across recruitment or HR processes.
Experience supporting managers and end-users in a customer-focused environment.
Experience administering and monitoring an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Previous experience in an HR team or HR service environment.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines.
Confident using IT systems, including MS Office and HR/finance management systems (e.g., Oracle Recruitment Cloud).
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Desirable
Experience screening and shortlisting candidates.
Experience supporting recruitment training or events.
