Job Description

Background:

The Star Inn 1744 is an 8 bed hotel with a busy bar and restaurant. We are looking for an experienced bar manger / bar supervisor to join our friendly team.

With at least 3 years experience, we are looking for a dedicated and ambitious person who is interested in furthering their career in the hotel, bar & restaurant industry.

The role:

Working as part of our staff rota system.
5 days a week.

Approx 40 hours per week.
Focus is evening and weekends, as are the demands of the hospitality trade.

Duties:

A varied role working to support the owners of the business.
Serving alcoholic drinks, hot drinks and other bar duties.
Table service as required, serving high quality food.
Answer the phone and taking hotel & restaurant bookings.

Supporting the hotel by taking room bookings.
Greeting guests as they arrive and showing them to their rooms.
Cleaning the bar / reception counter and tables as required.

Candidates:

Reliable, hardworking and willing to join our busy and friendly team.
Smart appearance and good customer communication.

Essential to have your own transport as public transport to the Thrussington area is poor.
