Dosa Park Cirencester, the top-rated Indian restaurant in Cirencester with hundreds of 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor and a 4.8-star rating on Google, is looking for a passionate and hands-on Restaurant & Bar Supervisor. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of both the restaurant and bar. You will help ensure that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience while upholding our high standards of quality and service.



Responsibilities



Daily Operations & Compliance: Assist in managing day-to-day operations for both the restaurant and bar, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including the Food Safety Act and The Licensing Act.

Guest Experience & Service: Create memorable experiences by engaging with guests, handling inquiries, addressing any issues, and ensuring all customer needs are met. Actively recommend dishes and drink pairings to make each guest's visit unique and enjoyable.

Staff Supervision & Training: Supervise and train team members across restaurant and bar areas, fostering a supportive and cohesive team environment. Motivate staff to consistently deliver high-quality service and hospitality.

Food & Beverage Quality: Drink preparation and presentation to meet Dosa Park's high standards. Collaborate closely with both kitchen to maintain consistent service delivery.

Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor stock levels for both food and bar supplies, placing orders as needed. Support cost control measures by managing inventory efficiently and minimising waste.

Cleanliness & Organisation: Ensure all areas, including the dining, bar, and kitchen spaces, are clean, organised, and meet hygiene standards.

Customer Engagement & Retention: Contribute to marketing initiatives that attract new customers and encourage repeat visits, reinforcing Dosa Park Cirencester's reputation as a premier dining destination.

Legal Compliance & Cash Handling: Ensure all team members are aware of their legal responsibilities related to service, health, and safety. Accurately complete end-of-day sales report and maintain all necessary documentation.

Hands-On Leadership: Be a visible, hands-on leader who actively supports fellow colleagues, ensuring smooth operations and a cohesive dining and bar experience.


Qualifications



Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a restaurant setting. Familiarity with bar operations and bartending practices is highly desirable. Knowledge of Indian cuisine is a plus, but not essential.

Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team, acting as a role model.

Culinary & Food Production Knowledge: Solid understanding of food preparation and production techniques, with experience in ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Customer-Focused Communication: Excellent communication skills with a warm, welcoming approach to engaging with guests and building customer relationships.

Attention to Detail & Efficiency: Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail, able to manage a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.

Passion for Hospitality: A dedication to creating exceptional dining experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for the food and beverage industry.

Flexibility: Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
