Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced
Restaurant and Events Supervisor
to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and assisting in the smooth delivery of private and public events. The ideal candidate will bring strong hospitality experience, a proactive attitude, and a passion for delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant floor and bar.
Assist in planning, setting up, and delivering events (e.g. weddings, private parties, corporate functions).
Supervise front-of-house staff, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Act as the point of contact during shifts for staff and guests.
Support the management team with staff training and development.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
Help manage stock levels for food, drink, and event supplies.
Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
Open and close the venue as required, including cashing up and setting up. (Being a Keyholder).
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar hospitality supervisory role (restaurant, bar, or events).
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Flexible and reliable - must be available to work
weekends, evenings, and holidays
.
A positive attitude and commitment to excellent service.
Basic knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene procedures.
Coffee Machine Knowledge (Training will be provided)
Cellar knowledge (Preferred)
Bar Knowledge
Good knowledge of IT for updating menus, responding to emails, taking booking notes (Training will be provided)
