Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the restaurant's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry, as well as the ability to manage staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing staff performance and ensuring adherence to service standards. Train and develop team members in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures. Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste. Handle cash management processes, including cash handling and reconciliation of daily sales. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Support the restaurant manager in budgeting and financial planning to achieve operational goals. Supervise kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and food production processes. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction. Assist with scheduling shifts and managing labor costs effectively.

Experience



Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Background in food service management or hospitality management is essential. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and shift management. Knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and kitchen management is required. Previous experience in inventory control, budgeting, and restaurant operations will be beneficial. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Experience in interviewing potential candidates for staff positions is an advantage.
