Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food service, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to ensure a high-quality dining experience for our guests. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing front-of-house operations, ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked while minimising waste. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu items that reflect current trends while adhering to quality standards. Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures, to achieve profitability goals.

Experience

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and food safety regulations. Demonstrated ability in team management and supervising staff in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence. A passion for hospitality with an understanding of current industry trends is highly desirable.
