Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management



Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH). Ensure smooth service flow and quick resolution of any operational issues. Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness, ambiance, and overall presentation. Implement and maintain health and safety regulations, food hygiene, and licensing laws in compliance with UK regulations. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and consistency.

Financial & Business Management



Manage budgets, control costs, and maximise profitability. Analyse financial reports, including sales, profit & loss, and expenditure, to identify areas for improvement. Set and achieve revenue targets, including upselling and cost-saving strategies. Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable contracts for food, beverages, and equipment. Oversee inventory control and stock management to prevent wastage and theft.

Staff Leadership & Development



Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, ensuring they provide excellent service. Create and maintain staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage at all times. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training as needed. Foster a positive and motivated work environment, encouraging teamwork and high morale. Handle disciplinary actions and resolve conflicts professionally and fairly.

Customer Service & Satisfaction



Ensure all guests receive high-quality service and an exceptional dining experience. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively. Maintain a strong presence in the restaurant to engage with customers and staff. Implement strategies to build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business.

Marketing & Promotions



Work with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns. Monitor customer feedback and online reviews to improve services. Develop partnerships with local businesses and community events to boost brand presence. Ensure social media and website content reflect the restaurant's brand and offerings.

Compliance & Legal Responsibilities



Ensure compliance with UK food safety, health & safety, and employment laws. Keep up to date with licensing laws, including alcohol service regulations. Maintain accurate records for inspections and audits. Ensure risk assessments are conducted and necessary measures are in place to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements:



Experience

: Ideally, candidates will have prior experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a leadership role.

Skills

: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and interact positively with customers.

Availability

: Flexibility to work a combination of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Personality

: A positive attitude, willingness to learn, flexibility, and a good sense of humour are essential.
