Who We Are:
A vibrant two storey Tulum inspired Mexican restaurant and lounge bar themed around the 'Goddess of the Moon' known as Ixchel. Ixchel offers a full sensory experience from the second you meet the doors to our Mayan Goddess and our beautiful interiors, to the unique and delicious food and drinks that our team creates. Music plays a large part in our DNA too, offering curated tunes and live DJ's. Hours of operation will be from 9am to 1am .
Who We Are Looking For:
The successful candidate will work within the Host team and help to look after the full customer experience from the Front Desk . Day to day you will be part of maintaining the delivery of exceptional guest service while assisting in the smooth running of the reception desk and reservations procedures. You will love to work within a team and be a key player in the FOH operations. We are not only searching for a Host, but also an ambassador of ourdining concept. What We Need To Know You Can Do:
Oversee reservations.
Work effectively with the Opentable reservations system and procedures attached to this. Experience is essential
Ensure all enquiries across the booking platform, emails, calls, whatsapp and social media are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner
Stay on top of all follow ups and any last minute changes / challenges reporting any issues to MOD
Maintain a calm and effective disposition at all times not matter how tricky a situation may become
Report all guests comments and complaints to the management team
Support in the completion of all opening and closing checks
Assistance in events reservations, procedures and organisation whenever required
Ensure all guest notes and preferences are kept up to date and accurate to help drive best possible guest experience
Build strong internal relationships across the other departments within the restaurant
To be fully articulate with ensure equipment is used and maintained in line with completed risk assessment and cleaning rotas are adhered to and recorded
Support the restaurant in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and tidiness across all common areas including staffroom
Attend in house training sessions
What You Must Have:
Minimum 4 years experience in similar role within high-end restaurant or similar environment.
Confidence working effectively within a team
Natural flair for working with people and creating great customer experiences
Comfortable working within a demanding and busy environment
Professional and extensive working knowledge of Opentable.
Good IT skills.
Hardworking, self-motivated, and dedicated to our vision and company ethos, true ambassador of the brand.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Excellent command of the English language
Passport/Visa (Proof of Ability to work in the UK)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
