Job Summary



We are a traditional spanish tapas restaurant and wine bar based in Barugh Green in Barnsley.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and ideally a great knowledge of cocktails, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team effectively. This role involves ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and service while fostering a positive dining experience for our guests.

We are part of a larger hospitality group so will be reporting weekly to senior management team who are regularly on site.

Full References will be required and succesful applicant will be fully vetted before job offer in place.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. Manage food preparation and production processes, maintaining a focus on food safety and hygiene practices. Oversee kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills and overall performance. Implement training programs for new employees, focusing on hospitality, serving techniques, and food handling procedures. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for complete guest satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organised environment in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.

Skills



Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality industry. Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of team management and staff development. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers alike. Experience in cocktail making. A passion for delivering outstanding service within a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in restaurant or catering settings is advantageous but not essential. Pay: 35,000.00 per year
