SALARY:

45K - 50K Per Annum

About the role;

Located in the grounds of Galgorm Castle, Castle Kitchen + Bar is a space for all occasions and tastes. The menu boasts a selection of Southern-inspired dishes and a mix of classics designed to ignite taste buds from lunch, through to dinner. Not only an additional dining option for our hotel guests staying a short drive away at Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort, this restaurant is also a hit with the surrounding local residences and golfers playing a few rounds at Galgorm Golf Course.



This is a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant and we are seeking to recruit a new Operations Manager. Your role will be to lead a team of 35-40 staff including restaurant managers, supervisors, waiting and bar staff ensuring the highest quality services and experiences to all our visiting guests whilst working within wage, purchasing, and sales budgets.

The position:

The main responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to;

Managing all day-to-day operational issues relating to the restaurant including staffing, training, rostering, purchasing, and managing budgets. Ensuring that the restaurant is run efficiently on a day-to-day basis with adequate staff cover at all times. Liaising with restaurant managers and Head Chef on a daily basis and collaborating closely to drive sales and continually improve standards of food, menus, and service. Overseeing dining reservations using ResDiary, managing all seating allocations, customer comments, and reservation notes. Assisting in the management of drink stocks and ordering restaurant supplies. Working with the Marketing and restaurant reservations team to develop monthly sales strategies and promote events. Liaising with the HR Department in relation to any employee and/or recruitment needs ensuring all people management policies and procedures are adhered to. Addressing any customer complaints directly either face-to-face, email, TripAdvisor, and/or social media channels. Carrying out the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, including till reconciliations and other key holder duties. Demonstrating effective communication skills with staff and managers at all levels. Assisting in the training and development of all restaurant staff and managers. Attending regular senior management meetings and holding regular staff meetings with the restaurant team. Attending any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

The person:

Applicants must:

Have at least 3 years of senior managerial experience within a restaurant/bar and/or hotel.

Have experience working in a high pace, busy hospitality environment. Have experience in carrying out opening and closing procedures of a restaurant including till reconciliations and other key holder duties. Have sound financial acumen. Hold adequate ICT skills. Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team. You must be performance-driven with a focus on implementing a culture of excellent customer service. Have good organisational skills, be able to work well while under pressure, and show initiative whilst multi-tasking. Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and the Galgorm Collection brand.
