The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary arts, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to guide our team in delivering outstanding service. As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and front-of-house areas while maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring efficient workflow.
Lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve excellence in food preparation and customer service.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout all processes.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock for service.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for complete satisfaction.
Collaborate with management to implement new initiatives aimed at improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training opportunities.
Perform nightly cash up procedures, including till reconciliation and safe deposits.
Skills
Proven experience in food production or culinary roles, with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both food presentation and operational tasks.
A background in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective teamwork and customer interaction.
