We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Manager to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards in food preparation and kitchen operations. This role is pivotal in managing daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring a smooth workflow during shifts.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the restaurant during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Lead and motivate a team of staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
Ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards including presentation.
Potentially Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues promptly.
Train new staff on restaurant procedures, food safety practices, and customer service expectations.
Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and support to enhance skills and productivity.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas at all times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; experience in a supervisory role is desirable.
Proficiency in bartending and food preparation techniques is an advantage.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers alike.
A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
