We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift supervisor to oversee individual shift operations in our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, food production, and team management. This role is essential to ensuring that our kitchen and service areas run smoothly, providing exceptional experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
Manage and support kitchen staff in food preparation and culinary tasks, promoting a collaborative team environment.
Oversee the quality of food production, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Assist in training new staff members customer service practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, providing solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with management to develop menus and implement promotional activities to drive sales.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
Proven experience in a hospitality environment, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
Familiarity with bartending practices is advantageous but not essential.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
