Salary: 27,000 - 30,000 DOE + Tronc (approx. 3,000-5,000 per year)

The Opportunity
This acclaimed Michelin Guide-listed restaurant is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join its close-knit front of house team. Known for its bold, creative tasting menus and intimate service, the restaurant has built a strong reputation as one of Birmingham's most exciting dining destinations.
With the current Supervisor moving on after three years, this is a chance to step into a key role and help shape the guest experience. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, personality, and a genuine passion for hospitality, helping to build a reliable, long-term team as the restaurant continues to grow.
Unlike many supervisory roles, this position involves little to no daytime work. Shifts are structured around evenings and weekends, offering a better balance than typical restaurant hours.
Responsibilities
Oversee the smooth running of service across two floors (bar/snacks downstairs, tasting menu upstairs)
Lead and support the FOH team, ensuring seamless communication with the kitchen
Deliver attentive, knowledgeable, and warm guest service at all times
Recommend and upsell wine flights, cheese boards, and pairings
Contribute to wine and cocktail service, supporting tastings and events with suppliers
Handle reservations, guest enquiries, and service logistics confidently
Maintain high standards of organisation, cleanliness, and professionalism
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a supervisory FOH role within a quality restaurant or hotel
Strong understanding of modern dining service and guest expectations
Confident wine and cocktail knowledge, with the ability to upsell pairings
A team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Reliable, professional, and committed to a long-term role
Calm under pressure with the ability to lead by example
