The Role:
The Birmingham College of Food is currently looking for a candidate that has experience as a skilled Front of House operator, someone that can link the kitchen with the restaurant in our award-winning restaurant. The successful candidate will be able to work with our students to motivate, inspire and support them to gain hands-on experience and learn all the skills that will introduce them to the hospitality industry.
Essential requirements for this role include:

  • Experience of working within a high level, busy, professional hospitality setting
  • To be able to support the Food Service Lecturers with ordering and stock rotation.
  • To be able to manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, inclusive of providing a high standard of service to customers.
  • To be able to operate a till, manage cash flow and an experience of the financial management of a busy establishment.
  • Strong levels of organisational and administrative skills.
  • A strong awareness of food safety regulations and best hygiene practice within a busy working restaurant.
