Restaurant Team Members

Part Time 4 Hours Per Week Including Working Weekends

British Garden Centre are pleased to announce that we have an exciting new adventure in our Hayes Garden Centre Restaurant in Ambleside. At British Garden Centres not only do we aim to deliver a great experience in our centres, but we go above and beyond in creating an exceptional dining Experience too.

We have a great opportunity for Restaurant Team Members to come and join our friendly Restaurant. Bringing our food and Restaurant to life for our guest to remember. Must be fully flexible, hours involve weekend work.

Will also involve usual jobs associated with working in a busy restaurant.

Must be Friendly & Confident for this customer facing role.

Be able to work on own initiative & as part of a team, able to adapt to the demands & speed of the business at peak trading.

Barista experience preferred but not essential.

Temporary positions will be from September until the end of December 2025

Skills required:

Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team. Work well under pressure. Professionalism and reliability. Good time management. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to use a till system

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide assistance and support to restaurant staff. Provide excellent customer service. Greet customers in a polite manner. Food Preparation. Taking food and drink orders to serve our customers. Maintain and manage premises with excellent hygiene practises, this may include washing up duties. Ensuring our customers have a pleasant experience in our restaurant.
