What will you be doing?



We are seeking a talented individual to join our Restructuring & Recovery Services (RRS) team in London as Restructuring Executive. You will be working as part of team that deals with businesses and individuals that have gone into an insolvency process such as liquidation or bankruptcy. The team's role is to recover value for creditors of the business or individual. The role involves supporting experienced staff with case management and compliance with both legal and best practice requirements. After a suitable period there is the potential to work towards relevant professional qualifications, such as accounting or insolvency.

As Restructuring Executive

, your responsibilities will include among others




Client contact

Occasional client contact in conjunction with managers. Dealing with creditor and other enquiries relating to insolvency cases Dealing with external agents and advisers on routine matters

Technical

Perform work in line with legal and best practice requirements Maintain physical and electronic records in formal insolvency cases Understand and appreciate key commercial aspects of the insolvent company's business.

Organisational

Administer a case portfolio, ensuring all statutory, regulatory and internal procedures are followed and deadlines are met. Provide regular progress reports to the manager including preparation of six monthly case reviews. Identify and discuss with manager issues/problems and agree and complete appropriate actions. Be able to work on several different assignments at one time. Setting up and maintenance of files Assisting at meetings including preparation of minutes Basic office administration, including filing, copying, casting and reading over documents, Drafting/preparation of documents required for statutory processes (e.g. notices of general meeting, circulars to creditors, progress reports). Maintenance of case checklists, reporting and compliance diary, and electronic case records. Drafting all routine case correspondence. Analytical review of information to facilitate case strategy or to fulfil reporting requirements. Dealing with creditor telephone enquiries Collecting in the selling assets with the assistance of agents

Development

Attendance on courses. Technical reading. Familiarise and gain working knowledge of all regulatory and statutory requirements, including statements of Insolvency Practise and other best practise, Risk Management and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should



Ability to organise to be able to work on several different assignments at one time. Required Experience in accounting and/or Microsoft office advantageous but not essential Preferred Numerically proficient Required Keen and quick to learn Required Demonstrable experience of working within the Insolvency sector is preferable Preferred

Professional Qualifications and Education



GCSEs in Maths & English Language at grade B or above A minimum of 240 UCAS points (equivalent of 3 A-Levels at grade C) and/or AAT qualification
