About the Role
This prestigious international law firm is looking to appoint a driven Restructuring & Insolvency Associate (3-6 PQE) to join its market-leading team in central London. Known for handling major restructuring deals and high-stakes insolvency litigation, the team works with leading financial institutions, corporates, and insolvency practitioners.
You'll be exposed to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious restructuring matters, from complex corporate workouts and distressed M&A to formal insolvency processes and cross-border recovery actions. This is a role that offers real breadth, responsibility, and access to first-rate legal work.
What You'll Do

  • Advise on distressed transactions, corporate restructurings, and formal insolvency procedures including administration and liquidation.
  • Work on cross-border insolvency matters, including recognition proceedings and enforcement strategies.
  • Support lenders, debtors, and officeholders across the full restructuring spectrum.
  • Draft and negotiate restructuring plans, intercreditor agreements, and enforcement documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with banking, corporate, and litigation teams on multidisciplinary matters.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in restructuring and insolvency law from a recognised UK or international firm.
  • Strong technical grounding in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of restructuring and insolvency.
  • Excellent drafting and advisory skills, with a commercial approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in cross-border matters and familiarity with key insolvency frameworks (e.g. UNCITRAL Model Law) is advantageous.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and build strong client relationships.
