The resus service is a small team that welcomes creative and innovative staff to help in taking resuscitation training to all staff working at the trust.
The post holder will;
Be responsible for the organisation, set up and maintenance of resuscitation equipment used in the delivery of training. In addition, they will provide and maintain an efficient and effective service which meets departmental, trust and national standards, policies and procedure
Teach resuscitation courses and immediate resuscitation skills to agreed national and local guidelines. This is to include the NEWS and prevention of cardiac arrest in adult and paediatric.
To run in situ based simulated training exercises across the trust in non-clinical and clinical areas
To support the volunteer services with any training requirements.
The post holder will be required to participate in undertaking audits such as compliance with daily checking and stocking of cardiac arrest trolleys, the correct use of the NEWS and 2222 calls.
There is some travel to the other sites to provide training
The role requires the post holder to work autonomously and flexibly to ensure that all resuscitation training is delivered to meet the needs of the service and optimise compliance.
