About Us

BG's Country Store and Cafe is a rural department store offering the finest foods, unique gifts, and everything you need for your pet and equine lifestyle.

We stock a wide range of country clothing, from leading rural fashion brands to professional-grade equipment for horse riders. Our store also carries an extensive selection of animal feeds and bedding.

Our food hall showcases locally sourced meats, pies, and seasonal produce, with some items grown or produced within five miles of the store, reflecting our commitment to quality and local suppliers.

The Role

We have an opportunity for a motivated retail assistant to join our Country Store team. We ask our staff to be efficient and friendly, providing a personal service to customers and ensuring product on display is well presented and of a high standard of quality at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Customer care. Effective stock control Handling of money - follow till procedures. Maintain food hygiene and health and safety. Checking in deliveries. Maintain a clean and tidy Country Store.

Key Requirements

Product knowledge. Customer care. Numerate and literate. Presentable

Salary

: Minimum Wage

Hours

: 3 days per week between Monday to Sunday on a shift pattern, 8.30am-5pm.
