Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and a keen eye for merchandising. This role requires effective communication skills, time management, and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales. Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising practices. Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling and till operations. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently during busy periods.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills in English Confident use of electronic invoice and stock control system . Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock management. Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Experience with merchandising is desirable but not mandatory. Previous retail experience in the hardware, building or engineering industry preferred but not essential. A clear full driving license would be advantageous to the applicant. Have the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
