Position: Casual Retail Assistant

Department: Retail

Report to: Store Manager

Location: Hearts Clubstore, Tynecastle Park, Gorgie Road, Edinburgh, EH11 2NL

Salary: 12.60 per hour

Hours: Zero-hours contract. You will be offered work when available via shift rota which will normally be Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Home matchday working will be required. Availability to work weekends is essential.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club, a cornerstone of Scottish football since 1874, is entering an exciting new chapter -- and we want you to be part of it. We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Assistant to join our retail team, on a casual basis.

As we approach the busy festive season, and with the recent Clubstore renovation this is an exciting time to join our retail team. If you have previous customer service experience within a retail environment and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service - we would love to hear from you.

Retail Assistant Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service and efficiently handle customer enquiries, in-store, on the telephone and online. Process cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately through the Clubstore till system. Have exceptional knowledge of products within the Clubstore and knowledge of clothing sizes to support customers with their shopping needs. Handle customer complaints effectively, escalating to a senior member of the team where necessary. Support in ensuring the Clubstore is kept in a clean, tidy and organized fashion. Collaborate with the retail team to meet sales targets.

Essential Experience & Personal Skills:

Previous customer service experience in a retail environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and passion for providing excellent customer service. Availability to work on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Able to evidence the Legal Right to Work in the UK.
