Retail Assistant

Proserve - Dinan Way, Exmouth

Working hours:

We are open to hours between 21-30 hours per week

Hourly rate:

Starting from 13.00 - 13.45 per hour (depending on experience)

About the role:

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Retail Assistant to join our team at Proserve in Exmouth.

This is a hands-on role working in our busy school uniform and workwear shop. You'll spend much of your day helping customers, particularly parents and children, and supporting behind the scenes with embroidery and printing (full training provided).

This role is active and varied and involves being on your feet for much of the day. If you enjoy working with people, take pride in doing things properly and like variety in your work, this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing:

Welcoming and helping customers in the shop, especially families buying school uniform

Confidently advising parents and children on uniform sizing, fit and product choices, helping them feel comfortable and reassured

Supporting click-and-collect and online order collections

Operating embroidery and DTF printing equipment (training provided)

Preparing and checking orders so they are accurate and high quality

Processing payments, returns and exchanges

Keeping the shop and work areas clean, tidy and well-organised

Helping with stock, deliveries and general day-to-day tasks

Are friendly, helpful and confident when speaking with customers

Are comfortable working with children and families

Are happy to learn our uniform ranges and confidently advise on sizing and fit

Are reliable, organised and happy to get stuck in

Take pride in accuracy, presentation and quality

Stay calm during busy periods (especially back-to-school season)

Are willing to learn new skills and follow clear processes

Retail experience, uniform/workwear, embroidery or printing is a bonus -- but full training will be given.

What you'll get:

13.00-13.25 per hour (depending on experience)

Part-time hours with a regular rota

Full training on embroidery and printing equipment

Varied work -- no two days are the same

Working hours:

Part-time, between 21- 30 hours per week.
Mostly Monday to Friday. During peak periods there will be some Saturday working and additional hours during busy school uniform periods.
