Positions available in both Rotherham & Barnsley stores.

Role Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Retail Assistants to join our team. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on animal feeds and accessories.

Cash Handling & Till Operations:

Accurately process transactions, handle cash, and operate the till system.

Stock Management:

Receive and check deliveries, ensure stock is correctly shelved, and assist in stock rotation.

Heavy Lifting:

Manage and move heavy items, including large bags of feed, in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Holder Duties:

Open and close the store, ensuring security procedures are followed.

Animal Knowledge:

Provide guidance on dietary requirements and care for various animals.

Sales Targets:

Utilize your proven sales experience to meet and exceed sales targets.

Requirements:

Experience:

Previous retail experience is essential; experience in the pet or animal feed industry is advantageous.

Animal Knowledge:

Understanding of animal dietary requirements and care.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to lift heavy items and perform manual handling tasks.

Sales Skills:

Proven track record in achieving sales targets.

Reliability:

Trustworthy and dependable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Availability:

Flexible to work weekends and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.25-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
