Job Description
Stewarts is a family-owned business established in 1742 with a history that can be tracked back eight generations.
We have three Garden Centres, a Nursery and a Landscaping division, all based in Dorset and Hampshire; our Garden centres are in Christchurch, Broomhill and Titchfield. We also have a central warehouse and Head Office based in Christchurch.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Retail Assistant to join our Garden Sundries team at Stewarts Abbey Garden Centre in Titchfield, Fareham.
Duties include;
- Providing assistance to customers, enabling them to easily locate trolleys and baskets.
- Assisting customers with larger heavier items and returning trolleys to the Garden Centre.
- Moving pots, compost and aggregates and assisting with the merchandising of items.
- General maintenance of the yard and car park.
- Supporting in other areas of the Garden Centre as and when required.
A good knowledge of gardening products is desirable, and a good level of fitness is required as the role will include manual handling and heavy lifting.
The successful applicant will work
up to 30 hours per week
includingalternate weekends,
