Evening & Weekend Sales Assistant

Hours:

Evening and weekend shifts (typically between 2:00pm - 9:00pm on weekdays and variable hours on weekends)

Reports to:

Store Supervisor / Manager

Job Purpose:

To provide excellent customer service, maintain store standards, and ensure smooth running of the shop during evening and weekend shifts. You will be responsible for serving customers, handling cash, restocking shelves, and helping keep the store clean and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver friendly, efficient service to all customers.

Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately. Replenish stock on shelves and in chillers. Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the store. Assist with date checks, stock rotation, and product displays. Support with closing procedures and store security (locking up, alarms, etc., where applicable). Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene procedures. Work as part of a small, supportive team to ensure smooth store operations.

kills & Qualities:

Reliable and punctual. Friendly and approachable with good communication skills. Honest and trustworthy when handling cash. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible to cover additional shifts when required. Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
