R. Yates and Sons Ltd is a thriving, family-run Country Store in the heart of Malton, known for its exceptional customer service and extensive range of products. We're currently looking for a
full-time Retail Assistant
to join our friendly team, working within our Front Counter and DIY department.What we're looking for:
We're seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. While previous retail experience is preferred, it's not essential - full training will be provided. What matters most is a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering top-notch service.
Key responsibilities:
Providing friendly and knowledgeable service to customers Operating the EPOS till system confidently (training provided) Pricing, merchandising, and maintaining attractive displays Monitoring stock levels and placing orders with suppliers Assisting with deliveries, stock checking, and general store duties
The ideal candidate will:
Be a confident communicator with strong customer service skills Work well both independently and as part of a team Be proactive, organised, and quick to pick up new systems and product knowledge
Hours:
This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week including weekend work.
