We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organised and visually appealing store environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage your time will be crucial in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products Provide knowledgeable information about products and services Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, including merchandising displays Handle transactions accurately Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks Uphold company standards of phone etiquette when handling customer calls Take messages when unsure of how best to provide assistance to customers Expand the customer engagement levels and find potential new ones.

Skills

Strong communication skills Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively Organisational skills to maintain a neat and efficient work environment Basic knowledge of a few different sports to offer products of best benefit to the customer Experience in merchandising to create attractive product displays (preferred) Ability to engage customers through upselling techniques (preferred)

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week
