Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers, assisting them with their purchases, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. Your role will involve engaging with customers, sorting donations of stock, merchandising products effectively, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in a friendly manner. Organise merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales. Handle transactions accurately using the cash register and ensure proper phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries. Assist with sorting donations of stock, restocking shelves and keeping track of stock levels. Help load furniture and other sometimes bulky goods into cars and vans. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential. . Strong organisational skills and a 'can do' attitude. Great communication skills to work alongside our staff and volunteers and to be welcoming and helpful towards our customers. A proactive attitude towards selling products and enhancing customer satisfaction is essential.
