Jims is an independent, family-owned retailer established in 1984 and online since 2000. Over the years we've built a loyal customer base both in-store and online, allowing us to grow to four stores across Cornwall.

We pride ourselves on offering good old-fashioned customer service along with an extensive and ever-evolving range of products -- from Fishing Tackle and Art Materials to DIY essentials and Homewares. By buying in bulk and keeping our overheads low, we're able to maintain the competitive prices that have shaped our reputation for over 40 years.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team. This position offers

5.5 contracted hours per week

, with opportunities for additional shifts when available.

Key Responsibilities

? Serving customers and operating the till

? Providing helpful, approachable customer service

? Restocking shelves and maintaining store displays

? Assisting with inventory and general store upkeep

? Supporting the wider team as needed

What We're Looking For

? Positive attitude and willingness to learn

? Good communication and customer-service skills

? Ability to work as part of a small, supportive team

? Retail experience is helpful but not essential -- full training provided

? Minimum 5.5 hours per week (contracted)
