Job Vacancy: part-time permanent retail assistant

3 days per week, including regular weekend working

Ben's Farm Shop, Staverton, TQ9 6AF

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and reliable person to join our busy retail team at the Staverton Farm Shop. This is a permanent role and we are looking for the right person to join the team.

Fantastic customer service is our priority, so you will be positive, outgoing and friendly as well as efficient, fast and accurate on the till and keen to go the extra mile to ensure customers have a great shopping experience. As part of the retail team you will also replenish shop displays and keep the shelves and fridges looking good, ensure the shop and public areas always look inviting, clean and tidy. You will take the time to learn about our ethos as well as our products and will share your enthusiasm for great food and produce with our customers. As we are a small team we all need to be flexible and muck in with whatever tasks need to be done, and we are looking for someone keen to learn and develop in their role and responsibilities over time.

Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. An outgoing, positive and engaging personality are more important to us.

An interest in food and fresh produce is important, as is having a great way with customers and the ability to work well with a team.

Hours of work will be flexible and will include regular weekend working. Shifts will vary but could start from 8.30am and finish times could be up to 6.30pm, so flexibility is essential and own transport is a bonus given our rural location.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
