We're Magazine Heaven, an independent lifestyle store at Rushden Lakes with a deep love for beautifully curated magazines, books, gifts, and coffee. We're on the lookout for a

confident and experienced Assistant Manager

to help lead our retail floor and bring fresh energy, creativity, and leadership to our dynamic space where creativity and retail really meet.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

Keyholding: opening and closing the store, end-of-day cash handling Leading and supporting the retail team to deliver excellent service Managing stock flow, returns, and especially return-on-sale systems (a major part of our business model) Overseeing store standards to the highest level, cleanliness, layout, visual appeal Keeping a close eye on product rotation and stock credits to ensure revenue protection Training and developing the team with hands on leadership Collaborating with the Head of Store on new ideas, improvements, and potential additional revenue streams Overseeing and keeping our social media content up to date

What We're Looking For:

Proven retail management experience

--ideally in a lifestyle, gifting, or fashion-led environment. A strong eye for

visual merchandising and store presentation

Highly organised

, proactive, and comfortable juggling people, products, and systems. A team player who

loves retail

and takes pride in every aspect of how a store runs. Comfortable managing people, stock, and systems, all at once Bonus if you're interested in events, lifestyle retail, or creative projects

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-28,000.00 per year
