Key Responsibilities Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and supporters Process sales transactions accurately using the till system Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and returns professionally Assist customers in finding items and provide product information Build positive relationships with regular customers and donors Store Operations Open and close the store following established procedures Maintain store security, including handling keys and alarm systems Ensure the shop floor is well-presented, clean, and organised Price donated items according to charity guidelines Sort, clean, and prepare donated goods for sale Manage stock rotation and remove items past their sale period Saturday Management Duties Take full operational responsibility for the store on Saturdays Supervise and coordinate any volunteers working on the day Handle cash management, including till reconciliation Make decisions regarding pricing, displays, and customer issues Ensure health and safety standards are maintained Complete daily sales reports and banking procedures General Duties Accept and process donations from the public Maintain accurate records of sales and donations Assist with window displays and store merchandising Support fundraising events and promotional activities Follow all charity policies and procedures Undertake other duties as reasonably requested
