Job Overview

We're looking for a friendly and reliable Retail Assistant to join our team and help customers discover our artistic creations. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

Welcome and engage with customers in a warm, professional manner.

Provide information about our handmade products and creative process.

Assist with sales, handle payments, and operate the till.

Help maintain attractive displays and ensure the shop remains tidy and inviting.
Support stock management and restocking.

Occasionally assist with simple product demonstrations or packaging.

Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when necessary.

Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.

About You:

Friendly, confident, and enjoy speaking with customers.

Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a small shop environment.

Interest in art, creativity, or design is a plus (no experience required - training provided).

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not essential.

Requirements

Strong communication skills in English

Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not essential.

Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.

Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Strong organisational skills to maintain a tidy and effective workspace.

A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting products to enhance customer experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
