We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement function within our retail operation. This role is responsible for sourcing high-quality products, services and utilities at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, forecasting demand, and ensuring stock availability to meet customer needs.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in retail purchasing, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with business goals and seasonal trends.
Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, utility providers and distributors.
Analyse sales patterns, customer preferences, and inventory levels to forecast demand and plan stock accordingly.
Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions on reorders, markdowns, and discontinuations.
Collaborate with merchandising, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless stock flow and timely deliveries.
Negotiate terms and contracts to secure best prices, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
Evaluate and onboard new suppliers while maintaining performance metrics for existing vendors.
Monitor market trends, emerging products, and competitor activity to keep the product range competitive.
Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices.
Prepare reports on purchasing activity, supplier performance, and KPIs for senior management.

Pay: 24,000.00-26,000.00 per year
