We're looking for Catering Assistants to join our team at Musgrove Park Hospital and play a key role in delivering high-quality food and service to our patients, staff, and visitors.
Main duties, tasks & skills required

The Breeze @ Musgrove Park Hospital is a busy canteen. As a Catering Assistant, you will be an essential part of the team, helping to ensure the efficient operation of our hospital catering service. Your duties will include:
Food preparation - making sandwiches, rolls, salads, and more, following recipe cards and established procedures.
Serving food and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors in our hospital's retail outlets and wards.
Stock management - unloading, storing, and picking food items, including refrigerated and frozen goods.
Cleaning and hygiene - ensuring catering areas, kitchens, and equipment are maintained to high standards, following HACCP procedures and recording on Kelsius.
Till operation - processing sales and handling cash/card transactions in our cafes and food outlets.
Supporting hospital functions - preparing and delivering catering for events and meetings.
Following food safety standards - complying with all hygiene and safety regulations, including allergens and infection control.
