The income from our shops and online platforms play a vital role in raising essential funds for children and families at a time they need it most.


For aspiring Shop Managers & Area Managers we have a structured, competency-based development tool, focused on supporting individuals to develop confidence and skills in all areas of their role, including online, internal and external training.


From driving our retail vans, to carrying out maintenance on our shops, it takes a whole team to make our retail operation a success; If you are looking to develop your career within our retail team there is a clear path to suit your goals across our shops, retail distribution centre and online platforms.


Retail Deputy Manager - Cambridge - Histon Road shop - CB4 3JD




Full Time - 35 hours per week, worked as 5 days over a 7 day working week


Mandatory weekend working on a rotational basis


Permanent


12.69 per hour

Are you customer-focused, community-minded, and ready to support and lead alongside a Shop Manager in a vibrant charity shop environment? If you've got retail experience, enjoy working with volunteers, and thrive both independently and in a team — this could be the perfect role for you.


Are you:




Passionate about customer service & building community support for the charity. Enjoy working as part of a team but also work on your own initiative. Happy to work on your own at times. Flexible to work at the weekends.

Do you have:




Experience working in a similar retail leadership role Knowledge or experience in guiding teams of volunteers Experience of contributing towards and delivering financial targets.

The role:




Working with the shop manager to maximise sales of donated and new stock. Supporting the shop volunteer team by providing guidance and direction to their efforts. Maintaining a high standard of display, presentation and cleanliness throughout the shop. In the absence of the manager, ensure the smooth operation of the store, focusing on all process and people management tasks.
