We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our health and safety protocols within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programmes. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Lead health and safety training sessions for staff to ensure understanding of protocols and compliance requirements.
Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
Collaborate with management to foster a proactive safety culture across all departments.
Monitor the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Serve as the primary point of contact for health and safety-related inquiries from employees.
Experience
Proven experience in a health and safety management role, preferably within a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in health and safety.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
