We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to lead a new team and drive the success of our retail operations in a newly built restaurant/farm store. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in retail management. As a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day to day management of the Cotswold Way site, ensuring company standards are maintained, managing & supporting the senior team in delivering the highest levels of hospitality and retail excellence.
To Maintain a food safety system that demonstrates compliance.
To place orders using the companies Tropos system, ensuring adequate stock levels and replenishment, ensuring stock use by/best before dates are controlled.
To organise staff rotas for the Front of House & Retail teams, liaising with Retail Operations Manager - both ensuring sufficient cover, whilst maintaining a streamlined team to fulfil the needs of the business.
To provide constructive feedback, and performance management for the Front of House & Retail team - leading them in a credible manner, whilst ensuring excellent customer service
Oversee the training programmes for Front of House & Retail team in all aspects of food quality, hygiene and cleanliness.
Day to day management of the Front of House & Retail teams, ensuring the tasks are completed to a satisfactory and consistent standard.
To devise a cleaning rota for the Front of House & Retail areas overall, and for the equipment and furniture within it, in keeping with a cafe serving the highest quality food. Ensuring that the cleaning conforms to this, by training the team and monitoring their performance on an ongoing basis.
To train the Front of House & Retail teams in the highest level of hospitality - welcoming, warm, professional and efficient
Ensuring customer service excellence, escalating complaints where necessary to Retail Manager
To cash up and pay monies into the company's bank account - keeping accurate records.
To ensure the facilities remains in a good state of repair, by reporting and ordering of equipment to the appropriate departments - purchasing/finance etc.
To serve in the cafe and retail areas to cover other duties as needed to ensure the function runs seamlessly
Build relationships with colleagues to create a positive & productive environment, cultivating good communications with the kitchen team, to ensure that the highest standards of customer service, food presentation and quality are maintained
Routine Stock Control; to keep all paperwork relevant to the supply of incoming goods, and to reconcile the delivery of goods
Maintain and report on sales performance across both cafe and retail operations
