Job Title:

Retail Sales Advisor - Full Time, Permanent.

Salary:

Up to 12.25 per hour dependant on age and experience.

Shift and Schedule:

42.5 hours per week Monday - Friday with Saturdays on a rota basis normally 2 in 4. No Sundays, or evenings.

About the role:

Ashby Decorator Centre is a well established retailer of designer paints and wallpapers from some of the UK's most sought-after brands. Selling high quality painting and decorating materials both in store and online from our store in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. We are also a painting and decorating contractor, working with major UK house builders. We offer a wide range of paints and wallpapers, and offer our customers a warm, friendly shopping experience, with expert technical and colour advice on hand when needed. Brands we sell include Farrow and Ball, Little Greene, Sanderson, Zoffany, Cole & Son, Morris & Co, Designers Guild and Fenwick & Tilbrook to name a few.

As a Retail Sales Advisor some responsibilities will include,

Making sure our customers are given the best possible service and advice on the products we sell and are dealt with in a professional manner. Keeping the store looking neat, clean, and tidy for our customers. Processing cash and card sales accurately and dealing with customer refunds. Helping customers choose the right paints and wallpapers for their projects, showing in depth understanding and product knowledge. Building relationships with customers. Working on social media posts. Processing and packaging website orders. Placing and taking orders over the telephone and face to face. Dealing with customer enquiries for shop customers and website customers.

Who are we looking to join our team:

Someone with exceptional customer service and communication skills. Reliable and willing to keep up to date with changes in products and promotions Friendly, and willing to support customers and colleagues. Would enjoy working as part of a small, dedicated team. Willingness to learn and develop. Previous experience of working in retail, or with designer brands would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided. An interest in interior design, colour, paint, and wallpapers would be an advantage.
