Role: Retail Sales Assistant



Location: West Ham United Stadium Store



Contract Type: Full Time



Hours: 37.5 hours per week



Salary: Competitive





An exciting opportunity has arisen to join West Ham United Football Club's Retail team as a Retail Sales Assistant at our flagship Stadium Store. This is your chance to be part of a fast-paced, high-energy environment, working for a Premier League club with a proud heritage and a loyal fanbase.



We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual who thrives in a busy retail environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding retail operation offering real career progression.

Key Responsibilities:



Customer Service & Sales




Greet every customer warmly and professionally upon entry


Deliver exceptional service and product knowledge on the shop floor


Support customers with enquiries and ensure a positive shopping experience


Promote key products to increase sales and conversion


Work towards personal and team sales targets with energy and enthusiasm


Handle difficult or dissatisfied customers professionally and calmly

Store Operations & Standards




Assist in the merchandising, ticketing, and tagging of stock


Replenish best-selling products to maximise availability


Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the sales floor and stockrooms


Participate in daily store tidy-up and ensure areas are ready for trade


Ensure all stock is correctly priced, tagged, and displayed to visual standards


Support with visual merchandising and shopfloor replenishment activities

Loss Prevention & Stock Control




Maintain high awareness of store loss prevention practices


Observe customer behaviour and report suspicious activity to management


Assist with stockroom and shopfloor audits as required

Requirements:

What We're Looking For:



Essential:




Experience in a customer-facing retail role


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced store


Strong attention to detail and personal accountability


Understanding of loss prevention procedures


Confident working to sales targets


Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable:





Experience using EPOS or till systems


A passion for football and the West Ham United brand


Strong written English and numeracy skills
