Retail Sales Assistant (part Time)
Job Description
We are looking for a competent and friendly individual with excellent knowledge and a good customer service manner. The job will be between 15 and 20 hours depending on skills and experience, between monday and friday. More shifts might be available covering sickness/holidays as and when required. Perhaps you've worked in retail or are a university student based in Sheffield who has worked in a shop since leaving school. Hourly rate is national living wage for your age group.
Applicants for the post will need to be:
Friendly and assured when dealing with customers - you don't have to be the chattiest person in the world but you must be calm, polite and easy going.
A fast learner - we have LOTS of stock, and you need to be able to get used to learning about products and DIY by yourself.
An all-round practical, organised and methodical person - you'll be talking to customers about everything from making a good brew to advising which is the best paint brush for a job... all while unloading the next delivery!
PLEASE do not apply for short term work It's a very small team and it takes a lot of time to get to know all the ins and outs of the shop.
