We're recruiting for

Part-Time Permanent Sales Assistants

to join the friendly team in our flagship York city centre store. We're in a great location ,just across the square from Betty's Tea Rooms.

Available hours range from 10 to 20 per week but flexibility on working days is required, as is the ability to work some weekends.

Ideal candidates will be sales focused, able to demonstrate an excellent record of customer service in a retail environment and have great communication skills. Above all we love to recruit team members with a positive outlook and a can-do attitude.

Full training will be offered on all aspects of the role, including on Lakeland Leather's fabulous products.

There's always scope for progression to become a Store Supervisor for those Sales Assistants who can demonstrate they've got the skills and attitude to take the step up.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with inquiries and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain product displays and ensure merchandising standards are met. Handle transactions accurately using EPOS systems. Manage inventory and restock the shop-floor as needed. Demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Communicate clearly with customers, who'll include locals, day-trippers and international tourists.
