Christies Furniture is a well established, large independently owned furniture shop based in Penryn. We are renowned for selling stunning sofas, the latest living and dining room furniture and also have a large selection of beds within our bed centre, Christies Bed Shop.

We are looking for an Sales Assistant with a proven track history in sales who shares our enthusiasm and passions for high quality furnishings and for providing outstanding service to our customers.

The successful candidate will become part of our friendly and ambitious sales team. You will be enthusiastic, professional, well presented, courteous and well motivated. You will show professionalism, authenticity, honesty and kindness at all times.

Your duties will also include supporting the store manager with clerical and customer service duties and you must be able to work on your own initiative to ensure that the furniture store runs to professional standards.

Duties:

Promotes sales by demonstrating features and benefits of merchandise and products to customers. Help customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise enquiry requests. Complete sales orders and payment transactions. Help prepare merchandise for delivery and display. Assisting with customer complaints and service issues.

In house sales training will be provided in order to learn and maintain a high level of sales Performance.

Skills/Qualifications:

You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role for a similar business or of selling high end goods.

Remuneration:

The successful candidate will receive good remuneration, will be employed by a company where good results can be rewarded with higher earnings and greater responsibilities / promotions. This role offers excellent career prospects where your position will be an enjoyable one with many varying duties to carry out.

Starting Salary will comprise of Basic Salary + Various Commissions. Overall COMBINED earnings will be between 28,000 - 35,000.

Hours:

5 Days per week Monday to Sunday.

9am - 5.30pm if working between Monday - Saturday.

10.30am - 4.30pm if working on a Sunday.
