Job Description
We require a Sales Assistant to work in our busy Swanwick based yacht chandlery. We require someone with technical knowledge of boats, yachts, marine engines or marine maintenance to provide our customers with assistance and guidance in choosing the correct products for their boats. As part of a small, busy team you will be expected to take on responsibilities such as opening/closing the store, running the store in the managers absence, and holding a set of keys to open/close the store.
The Role:
Part time (2-3 days per week). To include regular weekends To serve customers within our store, helping them choose the best products for their projects To aid in the smooth operation of the store - restocking, pricing, cleaning and tidying. To operate the store in the managers absence. Our stores are open 7 days per week. Salary is indicative only, and dependant on experience.
The Candidate

must have a basic understanding of boats, yachts, or marine maintenance.
Your work must be neat, tidy and presentable. You must be responsible and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A basic understanding of computers is required, although full training on our till system will be given.Please include a CV and brief covering letter outlining your marine/retail experience when applying.
